Multimedia Lab

The Language Center Multimedia Lab is open Monday through Friday, day and evening for students' use. The lab is outfitted with Windows and Mac computers, a Pharos printing station, and numerous amenities.

Designed as a space for for students to hang out in as well as get work done between classes, it is not a library, silence isn't necessary, and group work is encouraged. We ask that patrons be respectful of others using the space, keep voice levels reasonable, and not to eat in the lab -- drinks with lids are okay!

The Lab features:

  • Two lounge areas in which to relax, work, study, read, or watch multilingual video programming
  • Bar-style seating in the lounge area designed for laptop and tablet users, with charging ports, and network access. Drivers available for printing from personal devices. See links below.
  • Six-sided work tables designed to be ideal for group work, outfitted with Windows and Mac computers
  • Headsets with microphones and webcams installed at each computer to facilitate audio and video activities
  • A handicapped accessible desk, adjustable at the push of a button to a standing desk
  • A sound treated, reservable conference room for collaborating. Ideal for a group of 3-7 students working together, viewing video, or participating in CourseShare classes
