Format the SD Card
  1. Power the camcorder using the A.C. power supply
  2. FUNC. >
  3. MENU >
  4. Tools >
  5. Initialize SD Card >
  6. Initialize >
  7. Complete Initialization >
  8. YES > OK >
  9. X
Setting the Video Quality
  1. Choose one of 5 modes for different levels of video quality: MXP, FXP, XP, SP, LP
    • MXP is the highest quality, LP is the lowest quality
    • The higher the quality, the larger the file size and less video time will fit on the SD card
    • At XP (mid-range setting) a 4 GB card will record approximately 40 minutes
    • MXP & FXP settings record at 1920 x 1080 resolution. Other settings record in 1440 x 1080 resolution
  2. On the camera, select FUNC >
  3. MENU >
  4. Recording mode >
  5. Desired recording mode >
  6. X
Start Recording
  1. Make sure the camera mode switch is set to M
  2. Press the camera's POWER button to turn on.
  3. Press the Start/Stop button to begin recording.
  4. Press the Start/Stop button again to pause recording.
